UPDATE!

So I finally have some internet access. It's been forever since my last post and it's quite sad that I haven't updated this as often as I anticipated. I KNOW I said that in my last post as well. I guess I am a sad excuse of a blogger but I promise I'll get better! ;) Lately, I have been on a roller-coaster of traveling and moving plus surgery. So I have lots stories to tell. :)

I haven't started any new projects yet. I'll soon return to sketching and sewing in September. I'm still unpacking and getting things set up in my new work area that I'm so extremely excited about.

Enjoy this pretty sunset from Cabo!

Cabo Dress

So it's been awhile since I last did a post. I apologize for not keeping up with this blog as often as I'd like. The last month has been pretty crazy and amazing. And the next few weeks will be just the same. Here is a pic of the dress I made for my trip to Cabo a few weeks ago.

It all started when I saw the coral fabric then my thought went to the structure of the dress. I knew the color would be perfect for Cabo. Then wanted to match it up with a light color that would help this color pop some more so I picked an off-white poly crepe.  I loved it so much that I've decided to make a few more in other colors. It fit perfect. Hope you all like.

Christy's Bday Dress

I designed this dress awhile back and was inspired by Christy's newly single self. So I just wanted to something that would enhance her lovely hour glass shape. So I new a pencil skirt would work perfect on her. Black was chosen as the color because it's slick and sexy especially for the silhouette I was using. On the inside I wanted something unexpected so I used a black polka dot on yellow fabric. It gives it a little something extra I think.

This picture above is a little sketchy looking. I'm trying to find a better on but until then this what I have. If you would like more info on this dress please feel free to email me.

HOLY SEXINESS

Does anyone wear Calvin Klein anymore?! I mean doesn't matter to me. Just asking. So I came across this photo as I was reading my daily gossip at Lainey Gossip. Love her and her witty smart ass comments.

This photo is:
1. too hot for words
2. what I call sexiness
3. *gasp* (close your mouth)

My inspiration for today. Ooooook not much on them but an amazing capture of their seduction and possibly their oily bods. Yes kinda reminds me of Victoria and David Beckham's ad for Emporio Armani but I don't care it's still f*cking sexy. Side note: this is Jamie Dornan and he is from one of my favorite movies, Marie Antoinette, he played Marie's sideline man. He could be my sideline man. I kidd. I kidd. Amazing male model though!

Happy Champagne Thursday!

My Love for Design

...and this is how it all started. A few of you may know I AM A HUGE JOHN GALLIANO FAN and this is my journey on how I fell in love with couture and Galliano.

I can distinctly remember my first encounter with him (not literally). My infatuation began in design school and we had to do a report on someone in our field. I chose Christian Dior. Investigating more into Dior I came across John Galliano, which was at the time and still is the creative director there. That's when I would like to say our relationship began (I knew this but he did not). When I first saw haute couture it was Christian Dior Couture Fall 04 Collection. It literally blew me away in astonishment that all this fabric could create such a fascinating design. That's when I fell instantly in LOVE with haute couture which is "high-dressmaking". What caught my eye was the amounts of fabric, the meticulous details, the extravagant folds of fabrics. It was literally a mind-blowing experience that changed my perspective of fashion design all together. I knew from the years before that I wanted to truly design clothes that's why I was in design school, but yet had not found my calling but I knew I would find it eventually. And I did. That's when I knew I wanted to be among those great designers. And let me remind you I was just about to graduate and finally found my passion. Scary.

As years went by I grew to learn more about Galliano and his philosophy about designing and his fascination with you know, pirates. The whole idea of being a pirate really captivated me and no not the whole robbing people but the idea of seeking adventure. That is what caught my eye. He once said "It's been a long time since I left St. Martins, but I feel like a pirate that is plundering the globe for beauties, gold, and gems of ideas. A memory, a  moment, a person is the greatest treasure...but a diamond is a very good second chance."

Those word have stuck to me and so I now feel like I'm on a great adventure sailing to discover new ideas; either it be a person, a picture, or a quote. I have so many things that are waiting to emerge from my head and can't wait to share with everyone. I know that not everyone will love my designs but that's not my intentions; sounds very vain but I'm just here to let my imagination run wild.  ;)

Sexiness is Contagious. That's my goal.

Lucky Ones

My first post on my blog...let me say very interesting and a true test to my patience. But I have to say a very creative learning experience all together but also over analyzing. To start things off on this I wanted to share a few personal pictures that I have....which I'm sure most of you have seen. I call this post the LUCKY ONES and the reason why is because EVERY single person pictured has had a great impact on my life. They're either long lost friends that I found to someone I have met in the last year. I feel very blessed to have these people around me knowing that if I ever need anything they are a phone call away. They've all been such great supporters in what I do and have always encouraged me in many possible ways. I'm very much inspired by all of them. There is one person missing from this slideshow as I have not one picture with that person but they been imprinted in my memory.

I can't tell you enough how hard life may hit you straight in the chest that you can't breathe that if you didn't have a support group you would have never made it passed your obstacles. So the song I have chosen is Free Fallin' because I feel like I'm free fallin' into one of the most important times of my life and I know in the end I'll land exactly where I need to be.

As you watch the video you will notice my family is not pictured because they are THE LOVES OF MY LIFE so they get a special video of their own, which is another project I'll be working on in the upcoming weeks. And YES this blog is to showcase my work AS WELL as inspiration that comes my way and show you why I do what I do. These are a few people that have graced me with all of their awesomeness and keep me laughing on a daily basis. As I love to laugh and laugh loud!

This is my journey to discovering great things. Hope you all enjoy!
